No matter what the danger
I will see it to the end, or my soul will die
And though today I risk your anger
Tomorrow you'll know the reason why.

I've struggled for so long to speak my mind
Ropes of paranoia choke my breath
Is it true that for so long I've been blind,
Or perhaps I've never seen before?

And so you see now my dilemma
Do I go on dreaming here, or just close the door
You gave my ballads added meaning
And revealed to me a whole new world.

But for the sake of life, the song must end
Though its sweetness and its sadness will still sing
For although seasons pass, they do return
And the cycle of the world outlives us both ...
Outlives us both.
